Tory Councillors give themselves a pay increase

Tory County Councillors today voted for increased allowances for cabinet members and a handful of committee chairmen against the recommendation of the Council's Independent Remuneration Panel. Furthermore, they decided to back date the increase to the 1st April 2007!

Tories in denial on climate change

Council Leader, Myles Cullen, dismisses climate change as something that has been happening "since year dot" whilst Tory colleagues Stuart King and Derek James believe it is a conspiracy to extract more taxes and limit people's freedoms.
