Another Tory Councillor resigns

Brian Hooton, Conservative councillor for the Plaistow ward, has resigned from the District Council. His Conservative colleague, in this two member ward, resigned from the Council last year. Both had been re-elected in May 2007.

Another by-election will have to take place in the winter months. Last year the Liberal Democrats achieved a substantial advance to close the gap on the Conservatives.
